Dr. Kneuper,

I want to thank you for your work as our lead auditor on our CMMI level 2 certification journey.

Swisslog started our CMMI initiative over a year prior to your involvement. We struggled, made sporadic progress and frustrated members of our quality and software development team. As you recall, your first involvement was when we scheduled our first SCAMPI A assessment. Within a very short time, it was clear that we could not proceed with the assessment given our current state. Your professionalism and honesty inspired our team through this difficult period. You focused our team on the objectives of CMMI. You brilliantly helped our resources learn how the CMMI objectives related to our organization, without dictating any given solution. You facilitated us to define concrete methods and actions to define and institutionalize the processes. Throughout the next 7 months, we diligently worked towards and finally achieved level 2 certification.

I am convinced that this would not have been possible, without your professionalism, honesty, and openness to help us understand how the essentials of CMMI could be applied to our organization. You facilitated learning which is paramount to our overall goals of our business. I am looking forward to working with you as our auditor on our upcoming journeys of improvements with our tools gained during the last months and working toward Level 3 in the coming years.
